Discord Community Manager (Volunteer)

About the role

The Discord Community Manager will help build and maintain an engaging, supportive, and professional online community for students and young professionals. This remote volunteer position involves moderating channels, welcoming new members, and ensuring community guidelines are followed.

Key responsibilities

• Moderate Discord channels, respond to member questions, and encourage healthy conversation.
• Plan and host community events such as Q&A sessions, networking meetups, and skill‑sharing discussions.
• Share updates, internship opportunities, and resources with the community.
• Collect feedback, identify community needs, and suggest initiatives to improve engagement and retention.

Required profile

• Experience managing or actively participating in online communities (Discord, Slack, etc.).
• Strong written communication, active listening, and an inclusive interaction style.
• Organisational and time‑management skills to handle multiple channels and events.
• Interest in student development, early‑career support, and mentorship.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and commit consistent weekly hours.
