Driver Grade III – Transport Department

About the role

The Transport Department of the West African Examinations Council is looking for a Driver Grade III to safely convey materials, equipment and staff to required locations, while ensuring the fleet remains clean, well‑maintained and operational.

Key responsibilities

• Transport materials, equipment and personnel to designated sites as needed.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean, tidy and in good working condition.
• Oversee and coordinate vehicle repairs to ensure they are performed correctly.
• Carry out daily routine maintenance checks on the vehicle.
• Perform minor repair work on the vehicle when required.
• Prepare and submit regular vehicle monitoring and maintenance reports.

Required profile

• WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE/GCE Ordinary Level with credits in at least five subjects, including English and Mathematics, plus NVTI proficiency in a mechanical‑related field or BECE NVTI Certificate I/II (Auto Related) / Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
• Valid Driving Licence ‘C’.
• Minimum one year of relevant post‑qualification experience in a reputable organization.
• Age not exceeding 35 years at the time of application.
