Experienced Auto Mechanic

About the role

AutoShack Ghana is seeking an experienced auto mechanic to join its team in Accra. The role involves performing mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, ensuring high service quality and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical repairs on engines, transmissions and other vehicle systems.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs using hand tools and specialized equipment.
• Interpret and follow automotive repair manuals and blueprints.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good condition.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and workshop procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an auto mechanic with a focus on mechanical repairs.
• Proactive and technically inclined with strong critical‑thinking ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer literacy for service documentation.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems such as engines and transmissions.
• Ability to perform diagnostics and repairs using hand tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with automotive repair manuals and blueprints.
• Use of diagnostic software and basic computer skills.
