Factory Manager – Rigid Packaging

About the role

The Factory Manager will lead the rigid‑packaging production facility, overseeing the manufacture of PET preforms, closers, IML, thin‑wall items, blow‑gallons, crates and offset‑printing products. The role ensures safe, efficient and cost‑effective operations while meeting production targets and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily factory operations and production activities across all product lines.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet business targets.
• Ensure products meet quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Manage factory staff, including supervisors, technicians and production workers.
• Monitor performance, drive efficiency improvements and reduce costs.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate maintenance, preventive and predictive programmes for machinery.
• Control raw‑material inventory, production resources and budget.
• Prepare production reports and performance metrics for senior management.
• Lead lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, quality‑assurance and other support functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading cross‑functional manufacturing teams in a plastics or packaging environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality regulations (ISO, GMP, HACCP).
• Experience managing recruitment, training and development of factory personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operating budgets, control costs and identify savings.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
