Field Sales Manager

About the role

Joining Nestlé Ghana, the Field Sales Manager will lead and develop the distributor sales team to drive growth of Nestlé’s FMCG portfolio across the assigned territory. The role focuses on ensuring product availability, executing trade activities and achieving sales, profit and volume targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute route‑to‑market strategies to guarantee optimal coverage of all assigned outlets.
• Implement trade promotions, activations and point‑of‑sale material deployment.
• Coach, train and mentor distributor sales representatives, conducting regular field accompaniments.
• Monitor market trends, competitor actions and pricing, providing actionable insights.
• Manage product returns, damaged or expired goods and enforce FEFO stock rotation.
• Maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers and other trade partners.
• Support distributors in recruiting, onboarding and developing their sales teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar field sales role within the FMCG sector.
• Proven commercial capability and strong route‑to‑market discipline.
• Effective coaching and team‑development skills.
• Ability to analyse data and make data‑driven decisions.
