Field Services Technician – Vibration Specialist (Mining)

About the role

We are seeking two Vibration Specialists to deliver predictive maintenance services for mining equipment across the West African region. The role involves on‑site condition monitoring, customer training and corrective maintenance as required.

Key responsibilities

• Perform condition‑based and predictive maintenance activities, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil sampling and motor current signature analysis.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting of customer assets, producing detailed reports with recommendations.
• Manage schedules for time‑driven and event‑driven tasks, and compile monthly management reports on performance and cost avoidance.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and coaching to customers, and promote SKF service portfolio.

Required profile

• BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade qualification.
• Minimum Category II Vibration Analyst (ISO 18436) and Level I Infrared Thermography certification.
• At least 5 years of reliability service experience in a maintenance engineering environment.
• Strong customer‑service attitude and good English communication skills.
