Finance Manager (Expat) – Accra, Ghana

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and manage daily financial and accounting operations for our manufacturing business in Accra. The role involves budgeting, reporting, cash‑flow management and ensuring compliance with Ghanaian tax and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial management systems for budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Conduct variance analysis and oversee general ledger reconciliations.
• Lead the annual budgeting process across production, procurement, sales and logistics.
• Manage daily cash flow, accounts receivable/payable and banking relationships.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, file VAT, PAYE and corporate tax returns.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Provide financial insights for strategic decisions, feasibility studies and risk assessment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 8‑10 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in manufacturing, cabinetry, furniture or construction.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA preferred.
• Expat living in Accra, Ghana preferred.

Required skills

• Cost accounting and inventory management.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks or SAP).
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management abilities.
• Knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws and statutory reporting.
