Finance Manager (Expat)

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the day‑to‑day financial and accounting operations of 44 Wood Ghana, a manufacturer of kitchens, wardrobes and related fit‑out solutions. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures accurate budgeting, forecasting, compliance and strategic financial advice to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial management systems for budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Conduct variance analysis and oversee general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Lead the annual budgeting process across production, procurement, sales and logistics.
• Monitor cash flow, manage accounts receivable/payable and optimise working capital.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, file VAT, PAYE and corporate tax returns.
• Develop internal controls and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA preferred.
• 8‑10 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in manufacturing, cabinetry or construction.
• Expatriate living in Accra, Ghana preferred.
