Finance Manager – Ghana

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the full financial function for an international company operating in Ghana, ensuring accurate reporting, sound financial management, and compliance with group policies and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the finance department, staff, processes, outputs and KPIs.
• Oversee month‑end activities including general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations and cost allocations.
• Safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial processes.
• Implement strong controls, reliable systems and reduce risk exposure while improving efficiency.
• Provide financial direction and planning to support sustainable growth and performance.
• Deliver realistic budgets, clear forecasts and ensure alignment with business strategy.
• Optimize financial resources and ensure compliance with tax and treasury requirements, supporting healthy cash flow and statutory compliance.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA) with a degree in Accountancy.
• 15+ years of experience as a Finance Manager in complex, fast‑paced environments.
• Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Solid understanding of international tax regulations; knowledge of Ghanaian tax framework is a plus.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
