Finance & Operations Manager

About the role

The Finance & Operations Manager ensures smooth financial, operational and administrative management of the Westerwelle Startup Haus Accra. Working closely with the Country Director, programme teams, the accountant and external suppliers, the role covers day‑to‑day office operations, financial tracking, procurement, reporting and compliance support for the hub’s programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update financial trackers for payables, receivables, budgets and forecasts.
• Process supplier and customer invoices, follow up payments and support monthly financial reporting.
• Submit programme financial reports with supporting documentation to the accountant.
• Prepare budget forecasts, update budgets with actual expenditures, track variances and identify financial risks.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow and assist in fund request preparation.
• Manage procurement processes: request quotations, draft RFQs/tenders, evaluate bids and ensure compliance with donor and internal policies.

Required profile

• Strong background in finance and operations management within a non‑profit or entrepreneurship ecosystem.
• Experience handling budgeting, financial reporting and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Proven ability to manage procurement processes and supplier relationships.
