Finance Specialist – Telecom Operations

About the role

The Finance Specialist will support the LR & BP Manager in ensuring contractual and financial compliance of all suppliers and internal business units within Vodafone Ghana. The role bridges commercial and financial management between the approved supplier base and program teams, focusing on cost reductions for base‑station rollouts and providing contractual support to network and service deployment functions.

Key responsibilities

• Agree final account statements with contractors responsible for installing sites.
• Authorize interim (stage) payments with approved contractors as defined in contracts.
• Liaise with the Finance Operations team to ensure settlement of costs related to ‘site on air’ milestones.
• Interface with Finance and Programme teams to align financial reporting and project tracking.
• Ensure process compliance at the award stage of contracts and manage any subsequent revisions.

Required profile

• Ability to understand customer and business requirements and translate them into delivery plans (minimum 4 years experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in an operational role within the telecommunications industry, with working knowledge of finance, marketing, enterprise and supply chain functions.
• Skilled at managing customer relationships and expectations.
• Excellent knowledge of special coverage strategy and deployment activities.
• Strong influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
