Fleet Manager

About the role

The Fleet Manager will oversee the entire vehicle fleet supporting tourism, corporate transport and rental operations across Accra and the Tema region. The role ensures vehicles are road‑worthy, compliant with regulations and optimally utilised while controlling costs and maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day fleet operations, allocating vehicles to tours, transfers, rentals and corporate assignments.
• Develop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules, monitor repairs and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Maintain a comprehensive fleet register, track vehicle age and mileage, and recommend acquisition or disposal decisions.
• Supervise drivers, conduct performance reviews, organise training and investigate accidents.
• Monitor fuel consumption, manage fuel cards, and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure all vehicles have valid roadworthy certificates, insurance, licences, permits, fire extinguishers and first‑aid kits, complying with DVLA regulations.
• Utilise GPS tracking systems to monitor vehicle movements, enforce approved routes and generate utilisation reports.
• Prepare and control the fleet budget, reporting on expenses and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month experience in fleet management or a related transportation role.
• Ability to supervise drivers and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with DVLA and Ghanaian transport safety regulations.
