Forklift Mechanic

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will ensure that all forklifts operate safely and efficiently through regular upkeep and timely repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel and electric forklifts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Repair or replace faulty parts and components.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance activities.
• Ensure each forklift is safe and operational before use.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Forklift Mechanic or Heavy‑Duty Mechanic.
• Knowledge of diesel and/or electric forklift systems.
• Relevant technical qualification or certification (advantageous).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving aptitude.
