Full-Stack Engineering Lead – .NET & React

About the role

The Full-Stack Tech Lead provides technical leadership and hands‑on engineering expertise across our web, mobile, and backend platforms. Reporting to the Engineering Director, the role owns end‑to‑end technical direction, drives architectural decisions, sets engineering standards, and mentors a team of developers. The position is onsite in Ghana, preferably Accra, with occasional in‑person collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical direction across web, mobile, and backend platforms, aligning with business goals.
• Drive architectural decisions on modular monolith vs. microservices, defining service boundaries and integration patterns.
• Apply Domain‑Driven Design to establish clear domain boundaries, bounded contexts, aggregates, and domain events.
• Set and enforce high standards for code quality, testing, API contracts, and documentation.
• Partner with Product Owners and Project Managers to clarify requirements, break epics into deliverable slices, and estimate work.
• Plan sprints and releases, manage dependencies and risks, and balance product speed with technical sustainability.
• Lead and mentor engineers through pair programming, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Develop high‑quality user experiences on web (React/Next.js) and mobile (React Native), guiding state management and performance.

Required profile

• Proven senior engineering or tech‑lead experience with ownership of delivery and mentorship.
• Strong system‑design skills and ability to articulate architectural trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Hands‑on experience applying Domain‑Driven Design, modular monolith design, and microservices concepts.
• Solid database fundamentals, including relational schema design, migrations, indexing, and query tuning.
• Effective collaboration with Product Owners and Project Managers; fluency in English.

Required skills

• .NET Core (C#) and API design.
• React, Next.js, and React Native for front‑end development.
• Domain‑Driven Design, modular monolith architecture, and microservices patterns.
• Relational databases (SQL), schema migrations, and performance optimisation.
• CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
• Observability practices for monitoring system health and performance.
