Gã-English Translator – Remote (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Gã-English translator to join our remote team on a contract basis. The role involves converting video content between Gã and English while capturing linguistic nuances, emotional tone, and cultural context.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video recordings accurately in both Gã and English.
• Insert precise timestamps to align transcriptions with the original video.
• Analyse speakers’ emotional tone and intent, documenting nuanced language cues.
• Annotate grammar, vocabulary, and syntactic structures in each language.
• Define conceptual meanings of words and phrases, highlighting cultural and contextual nuances.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to solve complex language-related challenges.
• Deliver structured, high-quality outputs that meet project guidelines and deadlines.

Required profile

• Native or near-native proficiency in Gã and fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in transcription and linguistic analysis with a strong eye for detail.
• Ability to annotate grammar, tone, and emotion accurately.
• Deep understanding of language structures, word meanings, and cultural contexts in Gã and English.
• Reliability and commitment to meeting quality standards and deadlines.
