General Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The General Manager will provide strategic oversight for all company activities, driving growth in sales, marketing and production. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures operational excellence, cost efficiency and high product quality across the factory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a performance matrix for all employees.
• Direct and coordinate production activities, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Validate and sustain manufacturing process improvements.
• Lead cost‑reduction, quality assurance and overall production optimisation.
• Oversee raw‑material sourcing and experimental production projects.
• Facilitate employee problem‑solving sessions using structured tools.
• Manage factory administration, budgeting, safety, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Conduct regular safety meetings with plant staff.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in lean manufacturing, Kaizen and Theory of Constraints.
• Proven ability in production planning, controls and instrumentation.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership and team‑building capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
