Geology Raw Material Buyer

About the role

The Geology Raw Material Buyer will ensure a reliable supply of high‑quality non‑metallic raw materials for our ceramic production lines. You will combine geological expertise with procurement skills to assess mineral resources, coordinate mining activities, and manage supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct geological surveys of raw‑material sources and evaluate resource distribution, quality indicators, and reserves.
• Assess the suitability of non‑metallic raw materials for ceramic manufacturing.
• Coordinate mining operations and monitor mineral exploitation progress.
• Maintain a continuous, reliable supply of qualified raw materials to meet production needs.
• Manage relationships with mineral suppliers, mining sites, and government authorities.
• Lead supplier communications, negotiate contracts, and support agreement finalisation.
• Identify and mitigate raw‑material supply risks to avoid production disruptions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mining Geology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in geological surveying or mineral resource assessment.
• Strong knowledge of non‑metallic raw materials used in ceramics, as well as cement and glass raw materials.
• Experience with geological survey departments, cement companies, mining firms or professional survey institutions is an advantage.
• Excellent supplier‑management, negotiation and coordination abilities.
