GRE Tutor (Part-Time Remote)

About the role

Pedex Educational Consult, a Ghana-based educational consultancy that supports students and professionals in studying and advancing their education abroad, is hiring a part-time, remote GRE Tutor. The tutor prepares learners for the GRE exam through online lessons covering Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing, with clear explanations and structured practice.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver online lessons on GRE Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing.
• Assess learners' strengths and gaps through practice tests, assign targeted exercises and give individualized feedback.
• Plan lesson content, host virtual classes or one-on-one sessions and answer learner questions.
• Share strategies for test-taking, time management and stress reduction.
• Collaborate with the Pedex team to align instruction with organizational standards and may help create learning materials.

Required profile

• Demonstrated teaching, tutoring or coaching experience, preferably in standardized test preparation.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Education, Mathematics, English, Social Sciences) preferred.
• Prior high GRE scores are an advantage; experience with international education applicants or scholarship seekers is beneficial.

Required skills

• Strong GRE subject-matter expertise in Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing.
• Comfort with remote teaching tools such as video conferencing, shared documents and online whiteboards.
• Ability to create structured lesson plans, practice questions and study strategies.
• Organization and time management to handle multiple learners in a part-time role.
