Head of Accounting & Finance

About the role

The Head of Accounting & Finance will lead the finance function for a growing organization in Ghana. This senior position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic support to the management team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and finance function, overseeing month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and the general ledger.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash‑flow reports and monitor inventory accounting and COGS.
• Strengthen internal controls, improve financial processes and ensure tax and statutory compliance.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team.
• Collaborate with senior management to support business growth and strategic decisions.
• Ensure effective use of ERP systems, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience considered an advantage.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading accounting and finance functions.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Ability to strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
