Health & Safety Manager

About the role

The Health & Safety Manager will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of occupational health and safety programs for Twellium’s food and beverage manufacturing facilities in Accra and Tema. The role is focused on creating a safe work environment, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of safety excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain OHS policies and programs aligned with local regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards in processes, machinery and the work environment.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, determine root causes and recommend preventive actions.
• Organise and deliver OHS training and refresher courses for employees and contractors.
• Perform internal and external safety audits, track incident metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management and regulators.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans, coordinate drills and ensure preparedness.
• Oversee contractor activities to ensure compliance with company safety standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining occupational health and safety policies.
• Proven ability to conduct site inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Experience delivering OHS training and promoting a safety‑focused culture.
• Familiarity with Ghanaian safety regulations and industry best practices.
