Housekeeping Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Specialist to join our 12‑room boutique hotel in Accra. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and presentation that define our guests’ cultural experience.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces daily.
• Make beds, change linens, replenish amenities and ensure rooms are ready for new arrivals.
• Operate laundry equipment, wash, dry, iron and organize linens and towels.
• Inspect rooms for quality, report maintenance issues and follow health‑safety protocols.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and support teammates during busy periods.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Experience in housekeeping or boutique‑hotel environments is a plus.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact respectfully with guests and colleagues.
• Reliability, time‑management and ability to stand, walk and lift moderate weights throughout shifts.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency in room cleaning, sanitising and linen handling.
• Knowledge of basic health, safety and hygiene standards in housekeeping.
