Import Export Specialist

About the role

Orica is seeking a senior Import Export Specialist to join its Supply Chain team in Accra, Ghana. The role supports operations across the Africa North region, including the DRC, Ghana, Mauritania, Ivory Coast and Senegal, ensuring customs compliance and trade governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customs compliance monitoring, assurance and audit readiness for all import and export activities in the region.
• Conduct post‑clearance and pre‑clearance reviews to verify declaration accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Manage customs broker performance, identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain compliance reporting, dashboards and management insights.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customs authorities and regulatory bodies to strengthen controls and reduce regulatory risk.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in customs compliance or international trade within a multinational environment.
• Fluency in English; French is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple African jurisdictions.
