Import/Export Specialist – Africa North

About the role

Orica is seeking an Import/Export Specialist to join its Supply Chain team in Accra, Ghana. The role focuses on customs compliance, trade governance, and operational excellence across the Africa North region, supporting operations in DRC, Ghana, Mauritania, Ivory Coast, and Senegal.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customs compliance monitoring, assurance and audit readiness for all import and export activities in the region.
• Conduct post‑clearance and pre‑clearance reviews to ensure declaration accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Manage customs broker performance, identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain compliance reporting, dashboards and management insights.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, customs authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure effective trade governance and permit compliance.

Required profile

• A relevant degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Commerce, Law, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in customs compliance, international trade or import/export operations.
• Demonstrated experience working in a multinational environment and knowledge of African customs regulations.
• Fluency in English; French language skills are an advantage.
