About the role
The In-Field Training Area Assistant supports the In‑Field Missionary Learning and Development team in Ghana. This part‑time, entry‑level position helps streamline administrative processes so mentors and managers can focus on training missionaries.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate interview scheduling and hiring activities.
- Support onboarding and off‑boarding of missionaries and staff.
- Collect mission leader recommendations for prospective hires.
- Assist with leave coverage, timesheet collection, and absence tracking.
- Track employee tenure and manage contract extensions with HR.
- Assign mentors and update MTC tools.
- Respond to mentor inquiries and oversee substitution processes.
- Conduct language proficiency testing for applicants.
- Occasionally teach missionaries as a mentor when time permits.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree, HND, or Associate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or related field (preferred).
- 1+ years of relevant experience for degree holders or 2+ years for non‑degree holders.
- Experience in scheduling, recruiting, or employee coordination is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
