Instrumentation and Control Engineer

About the role

The Instrumentation and Control Engineer will be based on‑site in Tema and will design, implement and maintain instrumentation and control systems for industrial and commercial facilities. The role ensures safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant assets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop control system architectures and specify instrumentation for new and existing projects.
• Prepare technical documentation, drawings and specifications.
• Configure, program, troubleshoot and commission PLC, SCADA and distributed control system hardware and software.
• Perform diagnostics, calibration and preventive maintenance on instrumentation and control equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate control solutions into overall engineering designs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and client requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of control engineering, process control and instrumentation.
• Experience with industrial automation systems, PLCs, SCADA and DCS is highly beneficial.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Ghana and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
