Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will support Telecel Cash’s audit function by providing independent, risk‑based assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls. You will work closely with senior management and the Board to identify control weaknesses and recommend practical improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Audit Committee reports and facilitate committee meetings.
• Execute risk‑based audit engagements, record findings, and evaluate control effectiveness.
• Maintain audit independence and objectivity while providing timely feedback to EXCO and the Audit Committee.
• Collaborate with external auditors and track audit issues in the audit database.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate early warnings of potential control problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CISA, CIA or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in internal, external or IT audit, preferably within telecommunications.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence senior leaders and board members.
• Ability to assess risk profiles and prioritize audit activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data‑analytics audit tools (e.g., ACL, Windows IDEA).
