Inventory Specialist

About the role

The Inventory Specialist is a full‑time, on‑site position at Café Chavela in Accra. The role monitors stock levels of food, beverages and supplies, performs regular physical inventory counts and reconciles records with actual stock.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and update stock levels of food, beverages and supplies.
• Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile records.
• Track incoming deliveries, confirm quantities and quality, and organise storage for proper rotation.
• Update inventory systems and identify shortages or surpluses.
• Coordinate with vendors, kitchen staff and management to ensure product availability.
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient work environment.

Required profile

• Strong physical inventory skills with accurate counting and verification.
• Ability to manage stock levels, prevent loss and monitor usage.
• Experience with inventory management and delivery tracking.
• Effective communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Attention to detail, basic math skills and familiarity with inventory or POS systems.
• Ability to stand, move and lift moderate weights and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
