Investment Associate

About the role

Apex Trustee is looking for a detail‑oriented Investment Associate to support the management and monitoring of its investment portfolios. The role involves conducting research, analysing market trends, and preparing reports to aid informed investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyse investment opportunities, financial markets, securities and economic trends.
• Support evaluation and selection of investments in line with approved strategies.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risk, and composition.
• Prepare investment, performance and market update reports for management.
• Track interest rates, inflation, exchange rates and other economic indicators.
• Assist in financial modelling, valuation, forecasting and investment analysis.
• Conduct due diligence and draft investment briefs and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate investment records and ensure timely reconciliation.
• Liaise with fund managers, custodians, brokers and other stakeholders.
• Support compliance with investment policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Investment Management or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, asset management, treasury, banking or pensions.
• Progress toward or possession of professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, CIMA is an advantage.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, report‑writing and presentation skills.
