Lab Technician – Accra & Tema

About the role

As a Lab Technician at Shalina Diagnostics Ghana, you will deliver analytical services in a clinical laboratory setting, supporting patient care through accurate testing and adherence to quality standards. You will work in both the Accra and Tema facilities, contributing to routine and specialised diagnostic procedures while maintaining a safe and compliant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialised laboratory tests following standard operating procedures.
• Document test results and maintain accurate logs to ensure good laboratory practice.
• Provide technical support and coverage across diagnostic areas as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment in line with company standards and legislation.
• Implement internal quality control measures and participate in laboratory audits.
• Assist in research projects and evaluation of new techniques.

Required profile

• Diploma, certificate or degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Minimum 2 years (24 months) of relevant laboratory experience.
• Good standing with the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC).
• Ability to work within turnaround time requirements and follow safety guidelines.
