Laboratory Technician – Accra/Tema

About the role

As a Laboratory Technician at Shalina Diagnostics Ghana, you will deliver analytical services within the diagnostic laboratory, supporting patient care through accurate testing and adherence to quality standards. The position is based in Accra/Tema and involves routine and specialised laboratory work in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialised laboratory tests following Shalina Diagnostics standard operating procedures.
• Maintain acceptable turnaround times while ensuring safety and compliance with laboratory guidelines.
• Document test results and keep accurate logs to support good laboratory practice.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment in line with company standards and relevant legislation.
• Implement internal quality‑control measures for all technical procedures.
• Assist with research projects, evaluate new techniques and participate in laboratory audits.

Required profile

• Diploma, certificate or degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Approximately 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Good standing with the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC).
