Legal Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Officer to join Old Mutual’s team in Ghana. The role supports legal and corporate governance functions, ensuring compliance and efficient contract management across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and administer contracts and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions.
• Support company secretarial duties, including board and committee administration.
• Assist in managing litigation and liaise with external counsel.
• Monitor compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Enhance record‑keeping and legal documentation processes.
• Provide timely legal support to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Minimum of 1 month of relevant experience (junior level).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
