Litigation Manager

About the role

The Litigation Manager will lead MTN Ghana’s litigation portfolio, ensuring disputes are handled efficiently and the company’s legal, financial and reputational interests are protected. This senior position reports to the General Manager of Regulatory & Legal and operates within a dynamic telecommunications environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with business objectives while managing legal risk.
• Oversee the full litigation lifecycle, including case assessment, pleadings, discovery, settlement negotiations and court proceedings.
• Coordinate and supervise external counsel, negotiate fee arrangements and monitor performance to ensure high‑quality legal services.
• Maintain litigation management frameworks, policies, templates and secure records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead internal investigations related to employee, regulatory and compliance matters and support regulatory enquiries and audits.

Required profile

• Law degree with professional certification from the Ghana School of Law (LLM is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong negotiation, settlement and advocacy skills, with experience across courts, arbitrations and government agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships, project timelines and budgets.
• High integrity, ethical judgement and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
