Manager, Technology Infrastructure – Unix & Storage Administration

About the role

The Manager of Technology Infrastructure – Unix & Storage Administration leads the design, deployment, and support of Cloud and UNIX/Linux environments, with a strong focus on AIX IBM platforms. This senior role ensures high availability, performance, and compliance across production, test, and development systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, tune and optimize complex Cloud, Unix/Linux and Storage platforms to achieve 99.9% availability.
• Perform operating system upgrades, patch installations, and fix deployments for Power, AIX, Linux and related software packages.
• Conduct detailed troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex operational issues.
• Develop and maintain user/group accounts, scripting, task automation, system monitoring, file‑system management and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Implement virtualization strategies, performance‑management tools and capacity‑planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance policies, SLAs and change‑management procedures.
• Lead initiatives for information lifecycle management, high‑availability (HA) replication and business continuity.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, installing and supporting Cloud and Unix/Linux infrastructures, especially AIX on IBM Power hardware.
• Strong background in availability, performance, capacity and continuity management.
• Ability to document processes, produce incident reports and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Leadership skills to guide a team and ensure adherence to IT governance and service‑level commitments.
