Mechanical Engineer – Cold Room & Chiller Specialist

About the role

PKBA Engineering Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in cold rooms and chillers to join its team in the Accra & Tema region. You will work closely with management on small‑scale projects, applying design and calculation skills to deliver HVAC and refrigeration solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical, structural and multidisciplinary systems for industrial facilities, focusing on HVAC and refrigeration.
• Prepare project plans, tender documents, shop drawings, engineering drawings and BOQs.
• Lead and supervise technicians, ensuring project progression and timely delivery.
• Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections and client meetings.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, team members and clients throughout design, installation, testing and commissioning phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or technologist degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum two (2) years of practical project experience in HVAC or refrigeration.
• Familiarity with Work Safe BC, local building codes and HVAC standards.
• Ability to interpret and produce engineering drawings.
