About the role
The Law Institute (TLI) is looking for a diligent National Service Personnel to support its Administration and Finance functions. This temporary position offers hands‑on experience in record‑keeping, light bookkeeping and general office tasks, helping TLI run its daily operations smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Enter financial data into TLI’s finance and expenditure tracker and file receipts and invoices.
- Track payments, fee collections and outstanding balances, flagging any discrepancies for the finance lead.
- Provide general administrative support such as scheduling, correspondence, filing and preparing routine documents.
- Assist with cohort logistics, including attendance records, material distribution and responding to student enquiries.
- Prepare simple reports and summaries from financial and administrative records as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling student, staff and financial information.
- Perform other administrative or finance‑support duties assigned by the Director of Learning and Strategy.
Required profile
- First‑degree graduate; background in Business Administration, Law, Accounting or Finance preferred but any discipline accepted.
- Eligible for the National Service Scheme posting for the relevant service year.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and records.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised, trustworthy and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with basic bookkeeping and data‑entry tasks.
