Network Engineer – On‑site (Tamale)

About the role

DeeTek is looking for a Network Engineer to design, implement and maintain its on‑site network infrastructure in Tamale. You will ensure secure, stable and high‑performance connectivity for internal teams and client‑facing systems supporting digital marketing, CRM and web platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and apply optimisations.
• Maintain network security policies, support VPN and remote‑access solutions, and assist with server and cloud connectivity.
• Document network configurations, create diagrams and keep procedural records up to date.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in network design and administration (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Hands‑on experience with network hardware and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of network security best practices, including VPNs, encryption and IDS/IPS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work on‑site in Tamale, with occasional after‑hours support.
