About the role
Halcome Management Services is seeking dynamic, customer‑focused personnel for the new Bank Hospital in Accra, Ghana, slated to open in Q2 2021. The Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician will respond to emergency medical calls, assess patients’ conditions, provide on‑site first‑aid, and transport patients safely to medical facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the emergency response team.
- Assess injury severity and initiate appropriate medical procedures.
- Provide emergency treatment, including medication, pain relief, IV infusions, and wound dressing.
- Administer life support and both simple and advanced pre‑hospital emergency care.
- Operate equipment such as bag‑valve‑mask resuscitators, external defibrillators, and ECG monitors.
- Drive the ambulance under dispatcher instructions and monitor patient condition en route.
- Communicate patient status and treatments to physicians.
- Clean and decontaminate the ambulance and maintain medical equipment.
- Administer drugs via injection, IV, or oral routes under physician direction.
- Prepare and submit accurate incident reports and documentation.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in paramedical science, associate degree, or equivalent medical training.
- At least one year of paramedic experience.
- Valid EMT‑P certification/EMS license and CPR certification.
- Emergency response training (e.g., ALS, first‑aid, trauma).
- Clean driving record complying with safety policies.
- Ability to stay calm and make decisions under adverse conditions.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of fitness, stamina, eyesight, and physical agility.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
Required skills

- Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring.
- Intravenous (IV) infusion administration.
- Medication and drug administration (injection, oral, IV).
- CPR proficiency.
