About the role
Akim State University College, a new tertiary institution in Akim Oda, Ghana, is seeking a distinguished academic leader to serve as its Principal. The role will guide the college through its accreditation process, uphold the institution’s mission of affordable, quality education, and drive its vision of contributing to socio‑economic development locally and globally.
Required profile
- Hold a PhD and be a professor of high repute; retired personnel from reputable universities are also eligible.
- Distinguished scholar with proven ability to motivate, manage and direct staff.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Transparent, firm, strict and above reproach in conduct.
- Capable of handling crisis situations, visionary, business‑inclined and able to inspire high performance.
- Commitment to fostering a work environment where employees are valued, respected and have opportunities for personal and professional growth.
