Professor – Faculty of Engineering

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a distinguished scholar to join its Faculty of Engineering as a Professor. The appointment is open to candidates in Telecommunications, Computer, Electrical & Electronics, or Mathematics & Statistics engineering departments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the appointed engineering discipline.
• Supervise graduate research projects and theses.
• Conduct independent research leading to publications in recognized journals.
• Engage in community service and contribute to faculty development initiatives.
• Participate in curriculum design, accreditation activities, and academic governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or related field.
• Current appointment as Professor at a recognized university, or at least three years as Associate Professor with a minimum of fifteen peer‑reviewed journal publications.
• For Associate Professors, eligibility to be promoted to Professor after an initial appointment.
• Three referees with full contact details.
