Program Director – HAPPY & SAWA Programs

About the role

TechnoServe is seeking a Program Director to lead two flagship initiatives in Ghana: the Harnessing Agriculture Productivity and Prosperity for Youth (HAPPY) program and the Sustainable Aquaculture for Women Advancement (SAWA) program. The role will guide strategic implementation, foster partnerships, and ensure delivery of impact across agricultural and aquaculture value chains.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, strategic guidance, and technical oversight for both HAPPY and SAWA programs.
• Coordinate and align the vision of consortium members, donors, Ghanaian government agencies, and private‑sector partners.
• Manage a complex consortium of implementing partners, ensuring effective collaboration and results‑driven execution.
• Drive the development of youth‑led and women‑led food systems, improving productivity in poultry, rice, soy, tomato, and aquaculture value chains.
• Monitor program performance, reporting outcomes related to job creation, productivity gains, and fish production targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale development programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong background in agriculture, aquaculture, or related value‑chain sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to work with youth and women empowerment initiatives.
• Excellent partnership and communication skills with donors, government, and private sector.
