Program Transport and Logistics Officer

About the role

The Program Transport and Logistics Officer will support Wilder Institute Ghana’s projects by managing procurement, coordinating vehicle and equipment logistics, and ensuring smooth field operations across Accra, WCHS and ALCPA sites. This full‑time position combines driver duties with project‑level logistics planning and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify procurement opportunities, purchase equipment and supplies for WCHS and ALCPA, and track distribution across project sites.
• Coordinate deliveries, manage contracts for services, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Serve as in‑country driver, making regular trips to project locations and supporting the Operations Manager.
• Streamline logistics between the Accra head office, WCHS and ALCPA, including vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Proactively identify operational risks, communicate with program managers, and develop maintenance plans for field assets.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Higher National Degree (HND) in Logistics.
• Valid driver’s certificate from a recognized institution.
• 3–5 years of logistics coordination experience for national or international projects.
• 3–5 years of professional driving experience.
• Strong organizational, partnership‑building and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in field conditions.
