Project Manager – Water, Sanitation & Hygiene

About the role

WSUP is seeking a Project Manager to support the Country Programme Manager in delivering water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programmes in Accra, Ghana. The role ensures coordinated, efficient implementation of project components, monitoring progress and mitigating delays.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the CPM in planning and executing WASH activities to meet beneficiary, timing and budget targets.
• Monitor task progress against schedule and budget, preparing regular activity and financial reports.
• Manage local procurement, recruit sub‑consultants, and oversee Task Orders and Consultancy Agreements.
• Coordinate with government, civil society and private‑sector partners.
• Develop context‑based management models for low‑income service delivery and support capacity‑building for service providers.
• Ensure post‑construction operation and maintenance support and facilitate sustainability agreements.
• Document learning, share best practices and liaise with M&E and Communications teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project management, preferably within the water, sanitation or hygiene sector.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners, including government agencies and NGOs.
• Strong monitoring, reporting and documentation skills.
