Regional IT Lead for Global Health Mechanism

About the role

The Regional IT Lead will oversee IT support for the Abt Global Mechanism across 14 African countries, providing both on‑site assistance in Ghana and remote support to offices without local IT staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee IT components of site startups and closeouts, ensuring compliance with Abt Global standards.
• Provide functional oversight and coordination for local IT managers, including monthly knowledge‑sharing meetings.
• Deliver remote and on‑site IT support, manage ServiceNow tickets, and coordinate contractor support where needed.
• Review and approve IT equipment purchases to meet USG contracting standards.
• Serve as liaison between program operations and corporate IT for technology rollouts and cybersecurity initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT network administration within a Windows environment.
• Experience supporting NGOs or international organizations is a plus.
• Professional fluency in English; French preferred.

Required skills

• Windows operating system administration.
• Network administration and troubleshooting.
• ServiceNow ticketing tool usage.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting, imaging, and domain joining of laptops.
• Basic cybersecurity awareness and coordination with ISP providers.
