Regional Sales Manager

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager will lead business development and sales performance across the Accra and Tema region for a leading consumer and specialty chemicals manufacturer. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive revenue growth through an effective distributor network, generate user demand, and build a high‑performing local sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve regional sales targets and increase market share for focused product lines.
• Develop and execute business‑development initiatives to generate demand from end‑users.
• Analyse competition and implement counter‑strategies to protect market position.
• Manage pricing and margin delivery through mix improvement and pricing actions.
• Identify, onboard, and manage distributors/importers, conducting regular performance reviews.
• Oversee commercial hygiene by managing receivables and ensuring timely collections.
• Recruit, coach, and lead a local sales team to ensure operational excellence.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience with at least 10 years (120 months) in sales, preferably in chemicals or related industrial sectors.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding regional sales targets.
• Strong ability to build and manage distributor relationships.
• Experience leading and developing sales teams.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess competition and pricing dynamics.
