Renal Technician

About the role

Halcome Management Services is seeking a dedicated Renal Technician to join the new Bank Hospital in Accra. You will play a critical role in delivering safe and effective dialysis treatment to patients while maintaining the highest standards of equipment hygiene and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and maintain dialysis machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor patients throughout dialysis sessions, adjusting fluid removal rates as needed.
• Administer local anaesthesia and guide patients through the dialysis process.
• Collaborate closely with nurses and doctors to coordinate care.
• Sterilize all operating equipment before each use.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and attend to patient needs.
• Provide emotional support, educate patients on health maintenance, and develop training material for staff.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in dialysis/nephrology technology.
• Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
• Relevant clinical experience in dialysis settings.
• Strong dedication to patient care, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
