Renal Technician

About the role

Halcome Management Services is seeking a dedicated Renal Technician to join the newly‑opening Bank Hospital in Accra. The role involves operating and maintaining dialysis equipment while providing compassionate care to patients undergoing renal treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and maintain dialysis machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor patients throughout dialysis sessions, adjusting fluid removal rates as needed.
• Administer local anaesthesia and guide patients through the dialysis process.
• Maintain strict safety, cleanliness, and sterilisation standards for all equipment.
• Collaborate closely with nurses, doctors, and other clinical staff.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and attend to patient needs with empathy.
• Educate patients on post‑dialysis care and health maintenance.
• Develop operational training material for staff.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in dialysis/nephrology technology.
• Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
• Relevant clinical experience in a dialysis setting.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to patient care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal abilities.
