Renal Technician

About the role

The Renal Technician will join the newly‑opening Bank Hospital in Accra, providing essential support for dialysis services. You will work closely with nurses and doctors to ensure safe, effective treatment for patients with kidney disease.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and maintain dialysis machines to guarantee optimal performance.
• Monitor patients throughout dialysis sessions, adjusting fluid removal rates as needed.
• Administer local anaesthesia and guide patients through the treatment process.
• Maintain strict safety and cleanliness standards, including sterilisation of all equipment before use.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and attend to patient needs with empathy.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care and document treatment outcomes.
• Develop and update operational training material for fellow staff members.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in dialysis/nephrology technology.
• Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
• Relevant clinical experience in a dialysis or renal care setting.
• Strong dedication to patient care and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal abilities for teamwork.
