Repair Technician – Smartphone Repairs

About the role

Support Bboxx’s smartphone operations by preparing devices for sale, diagnosing and repairing smartphones, tablets and accessories, and coordinating complex repairs with Samsung and Carlcare partners.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install software and lock smartphones, tablets and accessories according to Bboxx standards.
• Match devices with the correct boxes, accessories and IMEI details, test them and prepare for shipment.
• Escalate complex or warranty repairs to Samsung or Carlcare and follow up to ensure timely completion.
• Handle technical complaints from customers and DSRs, record device faults and repair history, and provide clear updates.
• Maintain accurate records of devices, accessories and spare parts; conduct daily, weekly and monthly inventory reconciliations.
• Prepare repair, service and inventory reports using Microsoft Excel and report recurring faults to the Technical Manager.

Required profile

• HND, diploma or technical qualification in IT, electronics, telecommunications or a related field.
• Experience in smartphone diagnosis, repair and software installation.
• Good knowledge of smartphones, tablets and accessories.
• Strong attention to detail, record‑keeping and communication skills.
