Room Attendant (Local Hire)

About the role

The Hotel is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to maintain high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, corridors and public areas in Accra.

Key responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards, including making beds, dusting, replenishing supplies and vacuuming.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, floor public areas and pantry equipment.
• Verify room condition, report any repair needs to the Supervisor.
• Provide turn‑down service and attend to late‑check‑out requests.
• Answer guest questions courteously and refer requests to appropriate staff.
• Record relevant information on assignment sheets for future reference.
• Report special‑attention guests, incidents or unusual situations at shift end.
• Handle lost‑and‑found items in coordination with the Order Taker.

Required profile

• High School or Vocational School Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years housekeeping experience, preferably in a five‑star hotel.
• Ability to clean up to 15 rooms per day and operate a room‑attendant cart.
• Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work with little supervision.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks and follow instructions.
