Sales Engineer – Food Ingredients

About the role

As a Sales Engineer focused on Food Ingredients, you will expand REDA Chemicals’ presence in Ghana’s food processing market. You will combine technical expertise with sales activities to drive growth across key food segments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for the Food Ingredients portfolio.
• Drive sales across dairy, bakery, confectionery, beverages, savoury and other food applications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while acquiring new accounts.
• Collaborate with strategic suppliers and internal sourcing and technical teams to broaden the product range.
• Support customers by understanding formulations, production challenges and product development needs, proposing suitable ingredient solutions.
• Provide technical support and product recommendations as required.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing developments and regulatory changes.
• Prepare sales forecasts and coordinate with supply‑chain teams to ensure product availability.
• Manage customer orders and follow up on order fulfilment.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology or a related discipline.
• Practical exposure to the food industry, preferably in R&D, Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
• Experience in technical sales within the food ingredients sector is highly valued.
• Ability to identify market opportunities and support customers with technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
